There had been nothing unfamiliar in the morning’s events (не было ничего непривычного в событиях этого утра), for he was continually in the habit (ибо он все время был в привычке = ему было привычно) of serving Lady Vandeleur on secret missions (служить леди Венделер в тайных заданиях), principally connected with millinery (главным образом, связанных с модисткой).
